Triton Page 4

  “Triton! Fuck... Oh shit!”

God, I fucking love hearing my name in that breathy way she’s doing. I hold her hips steady as I come harder than I ever have before. My whole body is tight and coiled. Saylor comes, her juices leaking down my cock to coat my skin. She drops forward, laying on my chest as we both let the orgasm filter its way through us. I find myself stroking her back, which is unusual for me. I don’t typically hold a woman after sex, but Say is different and deserves that much.

“Fuck, that was hot,” Saylor grumbles against my chest. I chuckle and squeeze her body against mine.

“That was just round one, babe. Gimme a minute and I’ll show you round two,” I inform her. Saylor giggles, and fuck, do I like that sound. My cock twitches inside of her and she moans lightly.

“There is no way you can be ready again,” she says with the hint of laughter in her voice.

“You don’t know me and my cock. We can do amazin’ things.” Saylor lifts up, looking down at me with those green eyes sparkling when something crosses her features.

“What is it?” I ask seeing the question in her eyes.

“What happened with your sister?” She seems concerned about Piper and I don’t know if that pisses me off or makes me smile. Piper doesn’t have a lot of girl friends and I suppose that’s partially my fault, too. I reach up and brush her hair away from her face, tucking it behind her ear.

“We don’t get along that great. Shit’s been hard on us both,” I tell her.

  “Where are your parents?”

Fuck, I knew it would come up, but then again, I didn’t think it would be with a girl that’s just a quick fuck.

“Not somethin’ I wanna talk about.” My body tenses. I don’t want to discuss this, not with her.

Saylor raises her eyebrows and starts to shove off me. Clearly I’ve pissed her off with my lack of vocalization. I grab her and pull her back down, letting out a sigh and not knowing why exactly I’m laying here telling her my goddamn life story. Maybe it’s because I could see the caring and compassionate side of her, the side that draws Piper in. She obviously cares about her to some extent.

“They died a few years back. I took custody of Piper. Some days I regret it. Some I can’t think of her not bein’ here. We fuckin’ argue about everything, and if I’m bein’ honest, she deserves better than what I can give her.” This seems to ease the look in Saylor’s eyes.

“She comes in to the restaurant a lot. The other day was the first time I’d talked to her, though. She looked so sad and I hated it. She loves you,” she says and I chuckle.

“I don’t think that part’s true. She hates me and hates bein’ here, and I can’t say that I blame her. This isn’t the life she wants or deserves. Honestly, this is the last place she should be.”

“You scared her when you told her that you thought about having someone adopt her.”

“I did?” Say nods her head and my heart falls in my chest. I never wanted any of this for Piper.

“I do shit. Shit that she doesn’t need to be around or involved in.”

“She’s your family though, Triton,” Saylor says through a yawn. She slowly lowers her head and rests it on my chest. It doesn’t take long until her breathing evens out.

“Yeah, she is my family and I protect my family. Or at least I tried.”

  Chapter 9

  Saylor

I pry my eyes open and yawn before wiping the drool from my chin. That’s when I notice the small puddle on the man under me.

  “Oh shit.”

What did I do? What did I do? Oh my God, I’m stuck lying on top of the hot biker guy. I fucked the hot biker guy. Shit! I move slightly to test to see if he’s asleep enough for me to climb off and do the walk of shame out of here. Wiggling my way down, I feel his cock firming beneath me and groan. Oh fucking hell, Saylor, get your shit together. My thighs ache but in a good way. I giggle when I think that could have been part of my workout. I roll off the bed and onto the floor with a thud before peeking over the edge to see if he’s still asleep, which thankfully he is. I scrounge around the floor for my dress but I can’t find it. I could have sworn it was here, but no dice. In my haste to make a getaway, I grab his t-shirt and slip it on. It’s long enough to cover what needs to be covered until I get in to my truck. I always have a change of clothes in there.

I crawl across the floor until I reach the door, praying the whole time he hasn’t heard me. Standing quickly, I open the door and hurry out and down the hall when I run into Piper.

“Hey,” she says with a huge smile. Oh, fuck me now.

“Hi.” We look at each other awkwardly when her eyes fall to the shirt I have on.

“Triton’s shirt?” she asks, raising an eyebrow. I look down as I’m about to lie but then I see Triton VP printed on the front.

“Umm, yeah. Things got out of hand and I spilled beer on my dress and-“

“No need to explain. I’ve lived with him long enough to know he bangs a new girl every other night.” Piper rolls her eyes and I feel like a complete slut. My shoulders sag but she must notice. “Not you! I like you.” She tries to backtrack but the words are already out there. I smile, trying to ease her tension some.

“I talked to my sister about you last night. She said you wanted to learn how to surf,” I say, changing the subject and checking over my shoulder to make sure no one else is awake.

“He won’t be up for a while. Who is your sister?”

  “Trinity.”

“The club whore?” she shrieks before thinking better of what she said. “I’m sorry. That’s all I know her as.”

Shaking my head, I place my hand on Piper’s shoulder. “Give her a chance. She’s really cool. Anyway, I need to go train and get to work. If you really want to learn, come find me at the restaurant. You’re finished with school now, right?” Piper nods her head rapidly.

“Triton doesn’t want to pay for lessons, though.”

“We don’t need Triton’s money. I’ll teach you,” I tell her. Her eyes light up and I can see now just how much she looks like her brother.

  “Really?”

“Yeah. I’m training for the upcoming competition right now, but we can spend a few hours each morning going over the basics.” Piper nearly knocks me on my ass when she throws herself into my arms. I wrap my arms around her and hug her back.

“Thank you, Saylor. I have to tell Sharon, my best friend.” She pulls away and rushes off in the blink of an eye. I head out the front door, blinded by the morning sunlight as it beats down on me.

“Sneakin’ out early, yeah?” I jolt when I hear a man’s voice boom behind me.

“Shit, you scared me. And yeah, I need to go.”

“It’s crazy to see this place in the daylight,” Neo says, looking down the now silent street. It is true though; at night this place is lit up and full of people and tourists in comparison to the near-ghost town feel it currently has.

“I never really looked at it like that before,” I say as I lean against the building next to him.

“Me either ‘til now. Amazin’ what a day can do.”

“I agree. Hey, thanks for letting me come to Trinity’s party last night. I’m glad that she has good people around her,” I tell him. Neo pulls a cigarette out and lights it up before offering me one. I shake my head and watch as he slides them back in his pocket.

“We aren’t that great. We’re a bunch of assholes that do illegal shit for a livin’. Some legal but you get me. Trin’s been around a long time and we all care about her in our own ways.”

“You mean fucking her in your own ways?”

Neo turns to glare at me, a strange look in his eyes. “You two have a strange relationship, yeah?”

Nodding my head, I have to agree with that. “We do, but I love my sister at the end of the day. She seems happy here.” As much as that thought hurts, she does. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how her sleeping with so many men and not caring makes her happy, but it do
es. Neo nods his head, before blowing out a ring of smoke.

“She’s a good girl and we protect what’s ours.”

“Good to know. Thanks again,” I tell him before I start walking toward my truck.

“You know you’re welcome here anytime to see her.” Looking over my shoulder I give him a smile that he returns. “Nice shirt!” he calls out after me. I laugh as I climb into the driver’s seat and pull out onto the still road. My phone is going insane next to me. I grab it and see a million missed calls and texts from anyone and everyone. The one that sticks out is Wiley. Dialing his number, it rings twice before he picks up.

“Tell me you didn’t spend the night with your sister?”

“Good morning to you, too. I’ll be at the spot in ten.”

  “Well, did you?”

“Yes, Wiley. I got shitfaced last night and passed the fuck out. I’m sorry I didn’t call you, but I was having a good time with her. I think we both needed that,” I say with a sigh.

Wiley goes silent for a few minutes before he sighs himself. “I get it. I’m glad you got a chance to spend time with her. I’ll see you there.”

The line goes dead and I throw my phone back onto the seat. My head aches only slightly, which is good because I don’t think I can function with a full-blown hangover today. Pulling into my usual spot, I grab my bikini and slip it on, dropping Triton’s shirt onto the seat and climbing out. Grabbing my board, I’m about to turn and head toward the water when someone slams me against the side of my truck. My board falls to the ground as I try to move away but my stomach is pressed against the hot metal.

“You keep ignoring the warnings,” the man hisses into my ear. His breath dances along my skin, my body trembles. His fingers tighten around my neck, holding me in place. His hands are so big he can nearly encircle my throat. My pulse beats rapidly in my ears. There’s a fear dancing inside of me.

“What are you talking about?” I ask with a shaky breath.

“Marshall needs Marsha to place. You better let that happen.”

“And if I don’t?” I ask, not willing to let him break me. I’ve dealt with Marshall over the years and each year he becomes a little worse.

“You really want the answer to that?”

Do I? I’ve always known Marshall was a prick, but I didn’t think he’d go as far as to have someone come fuck with me. This is new.

“Maybe,” I hiss as his fingers grip me harder.

The asshole spins me around, pinning me to the truck once again by my neck. I can’t breathe, all the oxygen is being stripped from my lungs, but I know how to hold my breath. This asshole knows it, too. His slimy grin is enough to make my insides churn.

“You throw your fucking set, or I’ll be seeing you again. In fact, you don’t make qualifications. Understand?”

The tighter he squeezes the more I can feel myself falling. I nod my head slowly just to get him to release his hold on me, and when he does, I fall to the ground with tears prickling my eyes and coughing and gasping for air. The guy grabs my board and kicks, stomps, and slams it to hell before tossing it on the ground at my feet and walking away. I don’t know how long I sit here with tears running down my cheeks when I hear Wiley calling me.

“Saylor? You here?” I can’t do anything but curl into myself and cry. How am I supposed to get myself out of this town if I don’t win? Wiley comes into view and drops onto the ground in front of me.

  “Jesus, what happened?”

When I lift my head, Wiley’s eyes widen. I open my mouth to speak but I can’t even form words.

  Chapter 10

  Triton

It’s been a week since I’ve had those sexy tanned legs wrapped around me. I find myself thinking about her more than I’d like admit. I’ve been on runs and out for deals, but I still can’t get that girl out of my damn head. I’ve even gone so far as to ask Trin about her. And that’s how I find myself in this mess.

“So, will you go? I’m sure she will be there.”

I scrub my hand over my face before blowing out a breath.

“Why the hell do you want me to go?” I ask her trying to figure her out.

“I don’t have a date. Neo said no. Ransom is a prick, Rebel is... Well, he’s Rebel. You’re my last hope,” she nearly begs. That gets a laugh out of me.

“Dress shirt. No fuckin’ suit!” I point at her. She smiles and claps her hands together, making me smile.

“Thank you! I’ll owe you one.” She winks at me.

“No, you’ll owe me a lot. Like her address,” I inform her. Trinity’s face falls, a strange look crossing her face.

  “What?”

“She’s really private about her space, Triton. I’m not just saying that to keep you away, but that’s how she is. You can go to the restaurant or down to the beach, but she doesn’t like anyone at her house. It’s her safe place.”

I swallow hard ready to tell her I don’t give a shit but I stop myself. “Okay. What about her number?”

Trin smiles again and holds her hand out to me. “That I can do.”

I pass her my phone and watch as she adds in the contact before handing it back and walking away. I immediately dial her number and wait. I’m shocked as shit when a man answers.

  “Yeah?”

“I’m lookin’ for Saylor.” I listen to the man on the other end and anger washes over me. Who the hell is she with? Fucked me not a week ago and she’s already on to someone else’s cock?

“Who the hell are you?” he asks, pissing me off further.

“Your goddamn nightmare,” I growl into the phone. I can hear a commotion before I hear her voice.

  “Hey, who is this?”

Why the hell does her voice sound so scratchy? Is she crying?

“It’s Triton. I got your number from Trin. Are you okay?” I can hear her clear her throat as if that might help.

“Hey, yeah, I’m good. What’s up? Trin okay?”

“She’s fine. I wanted to see you.” I did want to see her, didn’t I? I want to fuck her, that much I know, but I miss that fiery attitude of hers.

  “Oh, I’m busy. Sorry, Triton.”

“Don’t lie to me. You got another man?” I snap into the line.

“Another? I didn’t realize I had one!” she snaps back. I can hear the other guy talking to her, telling her that she needs to calm down because her throat hasn’t healed completely.

“What the fuck is wrong with your throat?” I grunt into the phone.

“Nothing. I have to go,” she says softly but I stop her.

“I’m comin’ to see you.” Before she has the chance to say no, I grab the laptop and start tracing her number. That’s one of the beauties of being a fucking Soulless Bastard.

“Yeah? Good luck finding me.” The line goes dead just as I smirk.

“Oh, I found you, Say.” Typing the address into my phone, I head out the back door and hop onto my bike. With my helmet secure, I rev it up and pull out onto the nearly deserted road. It’s strange to see the roads so empty, but I am up earlier today than usual. I’m shocked as shit when I see the location is only ten minutes away. I park my bike next to her truck and climb off. Glancing around, I don’t see her or nearly anyone for that matter, but then something in the water catches my eye. I walk through the sand with my heavy ass boots until I stand at the shoreline sweating my ass off in my leathers. I raise my hand to shield my eyes when someone walks up next to me.

“She won’t listen to you.” Glancing over, I see Piper in a bikini that barely covers her ass.

“What the fuck is that?” I ask pointing to the strips that barely cover her. “And what the hell are you doin’ here?”

“Saylor has been teaching me how to surf, but she’s been out of it since she got hurt.”

“What the hell you mean she got hurt?” Piper shrugs her shoulders and looks back toward the water. I can see Saylor sitting on her surf board but she isn’t moving.

“Someone choked her out pretty good
. Messed up her throat; she couldn’t talk for a few days. It’s getting better now but she doesn’t want to talk about it.”

Anger and rage fill my veins. Who the fuck would want to hurt her like that?

“She say who it was?” Piper shakes her head no.

  “You like her?”

I glance down at Piper as she gazes up at me. “Fuck, P. I don’t know. I mean, I do like her, but we’re too different, yeah?” Piper shakes her head and rolls her eyes, looking back out at Saylor.

“She’s a nice girl. I like her a lot. She’s going to be in a contest to qualify for some big competition. She’s going to go pro or at least trying to anyway.”

  “Oh yeah?”

Piper nods excitedly but never stops looking at Saylor. Hell, neither can I. Piper and I sit in the sand and talk a little about what she’s learned so far and neither one of us notice that Saylor has come out of the water until she’s walking past us. Piper nudges me and nods toward her. I climb up and wipe the sand off my ass before stomping my boots on the concrete.

“Avoidance isn’t your thing, darlin’.” Say never turns to look at me and that pisses me off. I reach for her, grab her shoulder, and spin her to face me. Her body trembles but it’s the yellow and fading bruises around her neck that catch my attention.

“What the hell happened?” I snap loudly enough to pull attention from others walking past. I flip them off when they stare and look back at Saylor.

“Nothing. I’m fine. Your sister is doing great by the way.” Change of fucking subject. Nice try, Say.

“I’m glad. She looks happy. Now answer me. Who did that to you?”

“None of your business!” A man’s voice booms behind me. I turn instantly and grab the fucker around his throat before slamming my fist into his face. He falls to the ground, and just as I’m about to go after him again, Say jumps in between us, shoving me back.
