Iron Claw MC Part 2- The Collective-Season one Episode seven Page 4
“You think he could be puttin’ club against club?” I ask. Red shrugs.
“Couldn’t say, Damion. You know I don’t get in that shit. I run you guys , and that’s it. No other clubs have rolled in here that I’m aware of. Had a few new girls working a few months ago but they know the rules.” I nod before grabbing a cigarette and lighting it up.
“Trig gettin’ your payments to you on time?” I ask as I blow out a ring of smoke.
“Yeah. You know you don’t need to pay me shit. You’re like family, Damion.” Red had a bad run in with a club years ago. They were trying to fuck him over and take eighty percent of his money. I wasn’t about to let that shit fly seeing how we frequent this bar. I took the assholes out. In turn, Red helped us out any way he could , but that didn’t seem like payment enough for the risks he takes for us. I decided to supplement his income a little more.
“I know. You’re a good man, Red but the shit that we’ve been through, you deserve it.” Red slides me another beer before he nods and walks down the bar to another customer.
Chapter 15
Jess’s eyes find mine as soon as I step in the door. Her gaze flickers from my eyes to my bloody arm and back. I see the way her eyes widen. I shake my head letting her know it isn’t as bad as she thinks it is.
I pull my gaze away and head toward Trig.
“Red heard some shit. Ge Call t church in the mornin’.” Trig nods before I turn and head toward Jess. I just need to get lost in her. I need to clear my head , but I don’t know how to do that anymore. I want nothing more than to figure this shit out but I have a really bad feeling that this is going to end up being bigger than any of us realized.
“Let’s go upstairs.” I don’t stop ; , I just talk as I walk past her.
She was here. If Cort or one of his guys was up to something who the fuck knows what could have happened and I left her here to that shit!
The realization isn’t lost on me. I could have lost her again. I put her in danger.
I shove through the door and pace the room. My nerves are firing off. I want blood. I want to know what the hell is going on and who the hell is behind it.
“What happened?” she asks her voice low.
“There’s so much shit goin’ on right now. Shit’s gettin’ closer to home,” I mumble d more to myself than her. I scrub my hand over my face trying to reason this shit out.
“What happened, Damion?” Her voice rips at me. It pulls me in and holds on for dear life.
“More dead bodies. More chaos. I don’t know where the fuck it’s comin’ from.” She steps in front of me, her hands gripping my face.
“Look at me.” I slowly drag my gaze to hers , and all I can see is the love I destroyed once before.
“You will figure it out. You always do , and if it’s personal, you will handle it. You are a strong leader, Damion. Never forget that.” Her eyes dance with life. How the hell can she be so sure of me? How can she say that after what I did to her?
“Do you listen to yourself? I wasn’t strong enough to keep you.” My voice is strained.
Jess licks her lips before pulling my face to hers. Her lips are barely an inch from mine when she says, “You had a weak moment. We were younger. We made mistakes. I made plenty of my own, Damion. That doesn’t mean you aren’t different now. You’ve grown up. You know what you want.” She’s damn right I do.
I crush my lips to hers, taking all that I can get from her.
I reach down pulling her shirt up, only breaking our kiss to get it off her. Tossing it to the side, I slide my hands up her body and grip her tits roughly through her bra. Jess groans into my mouth.
She moves her hands, unbuckling her own jeans before moving to mine.
She has us both unbuckled before I pull away from her.
“I’m gonna fuck you against that wall,” I say as I walk her backward s . Her eyes dance with lust. A lust that I want.
She shoves her jeans to the floor with her panties before taking her bra off. I jerk my cut off and tear the shirt from my body before I move in on her. Jess is already backed against the wall when I lower myself down in front of her.
I shove her legs apart, groaning at the sight before me. Pulling her sweet wetness apart I slide my tongue in between. Her body arches off the wall , but I place my hand on her stomach to hold her in place.
I lick and suck at her clit as she grinds her body against me. I love that she will ride my face. I love that she lets me control her when I want to.
I kiss my way up her body once I have her panting for more. I stand in front of her when her hand wraps around my dick.
“Give me what I want, Damion,” she purrs. I gaze into her eyes. Grabbing her hips, I lift her in my arms. She positions herself over my dick before I let her slide down my length.
With every thrust, I take out my frustrations on her body. Jess doesn’t mind. She never did. She always let me let out my emotions like this. It’s part of why I love her so much.
Chapter 16
“We know that Cort is MIA at the moment. We also know that he had some personal shit to handle which could be why we haven’t heard from him. Talked with Red. He says there’s a guy tryin’ to make moves. Doesn’t have a name but he isn’t new around here. I don’t get it. We’ve got bodies comin’ from all over. Different clubs. Coke dealers. We don’t know who the fuck this is or what they want. We need to watch our asses though.” I look around at my guys. They all look a little off. They don’t like this not knowing shit any more than I do.
“We got word that Davey guy was up north with family. That’s all we know right now. Pat’s runnin’ his family to see if we get a hit but it isn’t lookin’ like he was taken,” Blaze says with a pissed off glint in his eyes. I know that feeling all too well.
“He set it up to look like that? Jess was there,” I ask shaking my head.
“Looks like it. No way did he get free and run home to mommy.” Why the hell would he do that?
“Fuck! More and more shit. Hey, we’re all rollin’ out to Red’s tonight. Pretty Wicked is playin’ tonight. Neely knows one of the members. Speakin’ of where the fuck is she?” I ask looking to Blaze. Those two are some twisted motherfuckers.
“Probably out with lawyer boy.” He chuckles. She has been hooking up a lot with him lately.
“I’m sure she’ll be around tonight. For now, we watch our asses. We don’t ride alone. We keep our eyes open for any kind of threats.” The guys all nod.
“Get ready we roll out in an hour.” They all stand and leave except Blaze.
“What?” I snap. I’ve had enough shit for one day.
“Calm the fuck down.” I watch him light up a cigarette before passing me one.
“I’m just on edge. I don’t like any of this shit.” I grind my teeth.
“I don’t either but snappin’ at each other won’t help. Can I ask you somethin’ without you takin’ my balls off?” Shit. When he says that I know that I may indeed take off his balls.
“Say it. I make no fuckin’ promises today.” Blaze chuckles.
“You think Jess was tellin’ the truth about this Davey guy?” My ears ring. My body tenses. He can see it.
Anger boils inside of me.
“You think she’d lie after all this?” My teeth grind together.
“I didn’t say that, Damion. Think about it. She comes back and all hell breaks loose. We got motherfuckers dyin’ all over. Devils are missin’ and shit.” I take a step toward him. His eyes flicker ready for that fight. He knows it’s coming.
“Anything else you wanna say about my woman?” My fists clench at my sides. Blaze laughs before he takes a step toward me.
“You’re emotional. You wanna take that shit out on me, let’s do this.” The look in his eyes pisses me off. I pull my arm back and slam my fist into his mouth. The blood splatters from his lips making me grin.
His fist collides with my stomach knocking the air out of me. I stumble back but regain my stance before
I fly at him.
Our exchanges are heated until we’re being yanked apart. Trig and Luck stand in between us.
“What the fuck is this shit?” Trig looks between the two of us. I know I don’t have to answer to him.
“Motherfucker don’t like reality , . ” Blaze says nodding toward me.
“Yeah, you say one more of your fuckin’ realities , and I will slit your goddamn throat.” I brush past all of them , but Trig grabs my arm.
“What’s goin’ on? You never go off on Blaze. Even when he is a dumb fuck.” He’s right. I don’t.
“When he drags my woman into it, I will cut his fuckin’ dick off.” Trig’s eyes widen before he whistles.
“I get that. We’re all just stressed, D. It’ll calm down.” I nod my head when my eyes catch on Jess.
What if he’s right though? What if she is somehow involved in this shit?
She did show up at the worst of times.
I blow out a breath and shake my head trying to let that shit go.
I can’t do this to her again.
Chapter 17
The bar is loaded with people. Pretty Wicked always pull in a big crowd.
I scan the room when I spot Neely. She spins around dancing with a smile on her face. When she spots Jess on my arm, her smile fades. Her eyes darken and fire dances in their depths.
“I see she still hates me,” Jess whispers in my ear.
I just grin at her when Neely walks up. She leans up, pressing a kiss to my cheek. When her eyes fall on Jess, I feel like I’m about to run interference.
“What are you doing here?” Neely grits her teeth. I can feel the rage boiling off her.
They all know it was my fault , but they still couldn’t help but fault Jess too.
“I’m here with Damion, obviously.” Neely clenches her hands at her sides.
“That’s enough. Jess is back. Shit’s over with. We’re good, Neely,” I tell her.
She jerks her eyes to mine and says, “Oh, are you? You’re good now? Isn’t that the sweetest.” She turns her gaze back to Jess. “You ever fucking hurt him the way you did before ; , I will kill you. Slowly and painfully, I will enjoy every last second of watching you bleed out.”
She looks back up at me, “Have fun, Damion.” Neely turns on her stiletto boots and walks back toward the stage.
I glance down at Jess to see how she’s taking all that.
“Yep, still hates me.” She smiles.
“You know Neely has always been protective. She hasn’t changed at all.” Jess nods. I grab her hand in mine and walk us toward the bar.
“Holy shit! Jess! It’s been years’ girl!” Red hollers over the crowd. He rushes around the counter and pulls Jess into a hug.
Something inside of me feels at ease. Seeing her back in with our old crowd sets my nerves at ease.
I watch as Jess and Red talk and smile. It’s comforting.
“She looks happy.” Trig rests his hand on my shoulder.
“Yeah. She does. I’m glad too.” It’s the truth. I’m glad she’s happy.
“Come on, brother. Let’s get some beers.” He chuckles. I sit on the stool next to him and grab the beer that’s shoved in front of me.
All of this just seems so surreal. All the death that’s lingering around. It isn’t like this is an uncommon thing for us , but with so much of it falling at our doorstep, that’s not normal.
Blaze’s words ring in my head. I don’t want to believe it. I don’t even want to fucking think it , but there is always that one little fucking connection that I’m missing. Could she be that connection?
“Dance with me, Damion!” Jess’s voice pulls me from my thoughts. I glance over my shoulder at her before shoving off the stool.
“I don’t dance, darlin’,” I tell her with a smile. She bats her eyes at me and I know I’m on the losing end.
She grabs my hand, pulling me into the crowd of people.
My hands lan de d on her hips, swaying to the music.
I’m not a dancer , but with Jess, I’ll do anything she asked.
I lose myself in her. I watch her when she pulls back and dances around me.
Her hips move, her body sways.
I could get lost in this girl forever if the fucking thoughts of her fucking me over didn’t linger in the back of my mind.
As much as I want to push them away, I can’t. There is too much there to leave to coincidence.
Chapter 18
The party is still in full effect long after the band left the stage. It does my heart good to see the guys relaxing a little with everything that’s going on around us. We may not be your normal run of the mill people but we still wear the fuck out just the same.
“Hey, Damion,” Red calls out to me. I spin around to look at him. There’s a strange look in his eyes.
“What’s wrong?” He nods toward the back room where I follow. I tap Trig on the back letting him know that I’m heading on in back.
He nods before I follow Red.
“What’s the look?” I ask when he closes the door behind us.
“Ricky just called. Said there’s a dead body over in front of the police station.” He looks sick. I wonder what the fuck that has to do with us?
“And?”
“You missing any guys?” The look on his face should tell me all I need to know.
“No. I’m not now fuckin’ get to the point, Red!” I roar. I’m sick of this little game already.
“The fucking Iron Claw MC tat had a big fucking X cut into it. The words We all fall down across his chest.” I know my mouth drops open. My guys are all accounted for.
“This is fuckin’ bullshit!” I roar as I point at Red. Who the hell is out there fucking with us!
I rush the door to find Trig standing guard right outside of it.
“Get everybody the fuck home. We’re lockin’ down until further notice.” Trig doesn’t need to ask me why. He can see the deadly glare in my eyes.
He heads out into the crowd. I head straight to Jess.
“You know somethin’ you haven’t told me?” I grip her arm roughly in my hand. I have no doubts it’s uncomfortable.
“What? What are you talking about?” she asks, her eyes full of concern.
“I want to know if there is somethin’ you know that I need to, Jess!” The growl that erupts out of me doesn’t go unnoticed by anyone around us. We catch glares from all of them.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean? Get the fuck off me, Damion!” Jess snaps, pulling her arm away from me. I run my hand through my hair ready to lose my shit right here and now. I don’t know what any of this fucking means and I sure as hell don’t like it.
I notice the guys start moving before I do. I walk up behind Jess as she tries to storm out of the bar. Wrapping my arm around her waist, I drag her back into me and whisper her a warning, “If you ever walk away from me like that again, you will regret it.”
She looks over her shoulder , but she can see the look in my eye. She won’t try me on this.
“Blaze!” I yell. He rushes up next to me.
“Make sure they all clear out. I want church as soon as everyone’s locked in. Shit’s happenin’.” He nods his head and gives Jess a little grin. Something about it pisses her off.
“Asshole!” she roars making Blaze laugh.
“I don’t know who the fuck you are tryin’ to piss off but now isn’t the time.”
I drag Jess out the door but not without a fight. I don’t want to do this here , but she’s making it harder on me.
“Are you going to tell me what the hell is going on?” she yells. I spin her to face me.
“Are you?”
“What’s that supposed to mean, Damion?” She plants her hands on her hips, glaring at me.
“It means, Jess! That there are far too many things happenin’ right now. There is so much comin’ down on us , and you seem to be in the goddamn middle of it!” My voice booms through the air.
Jess l
ooks a little shocked when she steps back.
“You think I had something to do with this shit?” she asks softly.
“I don’t know anymore, Jess. I don’t know what the hell is goin’ on.”
Chapter 19
The ride back wasn’t as pleasant as I wanted it to be. Jess is completely pissed off , and I can’t blame her. I was a little harder on her than I needed to be. I don’t typically lose my shit without proof.
I lost it with her though. Badly. I feel bad after everything that she’s been through.
The club is locked down just the way I wanted it. There are so many people in here that I can’t even think straight.
“We don’t know who it is. No one has a name. It was obviously one of ours though.” The guys all look around at each other. We’ve had a few guys that left but mainly they were guys that got too old for this shit and walked. Many of them were far before I was around but there are a few that are still breathing out there.
“We don’t know where shit is comin’ from. I put in a call to Reid to see if he can get me an ID. For now, we stay on lockdown. I don’t want anyone in or out that doesn’t belong.” The guys all nod. I know they are just as much on edge as I am.
They all stand and leave except Blaze. He leans back in the chair smoking a joint.
“I heard what you said to Jess. I’m sorry, Damion. I didn’t mean to cause trouble there. I had Pat look into her a little more. It looks like she’s tellin’ the truth, brother.” I nod my head.
“It’s all good. We watch each other’s backs. That’s all you were doin’. I made the move without knowin’ the facts. That was my fuck up, not yours.”
“Even still. I made that move too quickly, Pres.” Blaze was never one to apologize so when he does ; , you better take it.
“Appreciate that. Go calm Nina down. Sal said she was flippin’ out.” Blaze grunts before he stands and leaves the room. I know what I need to do. I need to apologize to Jess.
